Electrician
Location: Indianapolis, IN (onsite at Carrier Facilities) Shift: 2nd/3rd Shift (may rotate) Schedule: Monday-Friday + occasional weekends, OT as needed Job Summary
Join JLL's facilities operations team as an Electrician supporting a large manufacturing facility. This role combines electrical expertise with mechanical systems knowledge to ensure reliable operation of critical building systems. Primary responsibilities include maintaining 480VAC 3-Phase electrical systems, troubleshooting circuits, supporting HVAC operations, and providing emergency response while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and customer service standards. Key Responsibilities
Electrical Systems Operations Operate and maintain 480VAC 3-Phase electrical power systems (delta and wye configurations) Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits from low voltage DC up to 480VAC systems Maintain and service 277VAC lighting circuits and associated components Perform electrical repairs to keep building systems at applicable standards Facility Systems Management Safely operate facility in accordance with government and regulatory requirements Maintain HVAC systems at optimum performance through cleaning, inspection, and parts replacement Self-perform repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, and fire life safety systems Record readings and make equipment adjustments to ensure proper operation Safety & Compliance Demonstrate and enforce safety rules and identify safety hazards and risks Participate in incident investigations and emergency response procedures Comply with policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials Maintain clean and safe workplace standards Administrative & Customer Service Provide written reports and logs as delegated by Senior Chief Engineer Assign and close out CMMS work orders to meet schedule compliance Respond to customer inquiries in timely and professional manner Coordinate vendor/contractor activities and monitor work quality Assist with emergency situations (fire alarms, chemical spills, hazardous conditions) Required Skills
Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent Minimum 2 years college or trade school education Minimum 4 years electrician trade experience OR 4 years HVAC/refrigeration experience Valid U.S. driver's license Technical Competencies Understanding of 480VAC 3-Phase electrical power (delta and wye configurations) Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits from low voltage DC up to 480VAC Knowledge of 277VAC lighting circuits and controls Experience with thermodynamic, electrical, and mechanical systems Working knowledge of Word and Excel applications Ability to lift 80+ pounds and work from heights up to 30 feet Capability to climb ladders while carrying 20-lb tool bag Core Skills Strong safety awareness and PPE compliance Customer service orientation and professional communication Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Written reporting and documentation skills Emergency response capabilities Preferred Skills
* Associate degree in Electrical Technology, HVAC, or related field * Electrical license or relevant trade certifications * Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) * Knowledge of building automation and energy management systems * Previous manufacturing or industrial facility experience * Understanding of building controls and fire life safety systems * Vendor/contractor coordination experience Location: On-site -Greenwood, IN, Indianapolis, IN, Plainfield, IN
