Job Title: Process and Controls Automation Engineer
Location:
Carrollton,
GA (Hybird, 2-3 days a week)
Duration: Fulltime Permanent

Position Summary
The Process & Control Automation Engineer III supports SCR automation design, development, and startup initiatives. This role works cross-functionally to design, program, and commission control systems, and will transfer technical knowledge to SCR customers through training, presentations, and startup assistance.
Key Responsibilities Develop, design, maintain, and commission automation/control systems for industrial equipment. Program PLCs, drive systems, and combustion control systems (Allen Bradley or Siemens). Create SCADA and operator interface (HMI) applications. Design databases and write custom programs for PLC-SCADA integration. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components, diagnosing and resolving issues. Produce project documentation, electrical schematics (AutoCAD), and manuals. Develop scope of work, cost estimates, and budgets for electrical systems. Build deep knowledge of SCR systems including fluid systems, metallurgy, furnace operations, material handling, and hands-on machinery operation. Lead on-site commissioning of complete SCR systems. Deliver training, presentations, and startup assistance to SCR customers.
Required Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Experience:
7+ years in automation and controls engineering.
Technical Skills:
PLC programming (Allen Bradley or Siemens) Drive system configuration AutoCAD for electrical schematics SCADA/HMI development Computer programming, networking, database, and reporting skills
Preferred Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering. Experience:
10+ years in relevant field. Technical
Expertise:
