Base pay range $75.00/hr - $80.00/hr
Responsibilities
Architect, design, develop and implement end-to-end big data solutions (data lakes, BI dashboards, data science projects).
Build big data pipelines (batch and near real-time) on Hadoop ecosystem components such as HDFS, Hive, Spark, Scala, Sqoop, Kafka, NiFi, and related technologies; optimize performance of compute-heavy workloads.
Work with Cloudera distributions and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP); ensure data quality, governance, and security.
Leverage big data technologies such as Impala, Oozie, Flume, Sqoop, ZooKeeper; use languages including Python/R, Java, Scala, Ruby or C++.
Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS Redshift, Snowflake, SQL Data Warehouse, BigQuery).
Possess database experience and hands-on work with Hadoop/Hive/Spark/MongoDB; familiarity with data ingestion, wrangling, and data virtualization tools (e.g., StreamSets, Trifacta, Denodo) is a plus.
Demonstrate strong analytical skills to translate ideas into solutions, and perform qualitative and quantitative analysis.
Healthcare/Pharmaceutical industry experience is an added advantage.
Ability to work in a fast-paced agile development environment.
Qualifications
10+ years of strong experience in building large-scale, distributed big data solutions.
Proven track record in architecting, designing, developing, and/or implementing end-to-end Big Data Lake, BI (Tableau/Power BI/Qlik), and Data Science projects.
Solid experience building Big Data Pipelines (Batch and NRT) on Hadoop ecosystem and related tooling.
Working experience with Cloudera distributions and cloud platforms; understanding of data quality, governance, and security.
Experience with big data solutions such as Impala, Oozie, Flume, Sqoop, or ZooKeeper; proficient in Python/R, Java, Scala, Ruby or C++.
Experience with cloud infrastructure solutions like AWS Redshift, Snowflake, SQL DW, BigQuery.
Strong database experience and hands-on work with Hadoop/Hive/Spark/MongoDB; familiarity with data ingestion and data virtualization tools is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to convert ideas into solutions along with feature definition and analysis.
Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment.
