OpenText is seeking a Sr. Director of Strategy & Product / Engineering Operations to lead a newly formed team focused on strategy, operational processes, metrics/measurability, and rhythm of business. OpenText is undergoing an organizational transformation to strengthen the Engineering PMO’s role as a backbone of execution, alignment, and growth.

Your Impact
This leader will act as the strategic and operational integrator for Product & Engineering leadership, ensuring that execution is world-class, strategically aligned, measurable, and predictable. The role requires a blend of strategic thinking, operational rigor, business acumen, and people leadership.
What The Role Offers
Strategy & Alignment
Partner with Engineering, Product, and PMO leadership to translate organizational vision into actionable strategies.
Establish frameworks for strategic planning, portfolio alignment, and business prioritization.
Drive cross-functional alignment with Finance, HR, and other corporate functions.
Process Excellence
Define, implement, and standardize engineering-wide processes for planning, execution, and reporting.
Continuously refine workflows for portfolio management, governance, and cross-team collaboration.
Build scalable processes that balance structure with agility.
Metrics & Measurability
Own the design and rollout of KPIs and metrics for Engineering effectiveness.
Ensure robust measurement of delivery, quality, efficiency, and business value contribution.
Provide leadership with data-driven insights for better decisions.
Rhythm of Business (RoB)
Design and manage the cadence of business reviews, planning cycles, and leadership operating mechanisms.
Ensure a predictable, transparent, and efficient operating rhythm that drives accountability.
Facilitate quarterly/annual planning, operating reviews, and governance routines.
Leadership & Team Building
Build and lead a high-performing Strategy & Product/Engineering Ops team within the PMO.
Foster a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and performance.
Develop talent while promoting diversity, inclusion, and continuous learning.
What You Need To Succeed
15+ years of progressive experience in product & engineering operations, PMO, and strategy/operations roles within large-scale technology organizations.
Proven track record in shaping strategy, building scalable processes, and driving metrics-based execution in global organizations.
Experience with OKRs, KPIs, operational reviews, and portfolio governance frameworks.
Deep understanding of software engineering practices and ability to partner with engineering leaders.
Strong business acumen with ability to translate engineering impact into business outcomes.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and influencing skills to operate across matrixed global environments.
Experience leading and scaling high-performing teams.

Salary Range:
$177,870.00 - $292,215.00; actual salary may vary based on education, experience, skills, location, and internal equity.
