Wild Waves Theme & Water Park is seeking energetic, creative, and enthusiastic individuals to join our Fright Fest Entertainment Team as Scare Actors. Scare Actors are responsible for providing immersive and terrifying experiences for our guests by performing in haunted attractions, scare zones, and throughout the park during our annual Fright Fest event. This is a fun, fast-paced role requiring a passion for performance, character work, and guest interaction.

Compensation Base pay range:

$17.00/hr - $18.00/hr

This range is provided by Wild Waves Theme & Water Park. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Responsibilities

Portray a variety of horror-themed characters in haunted houses, scare zones, and park pathways

Perform scares and character improvisations while maintaining safety and professionalism

Remain in character and maintain high energy for extended periods of time

Wear makeup, masks, costumes, and prosthetics as assigned

Follow direction from Entertainment Supervisors and attend all rehearsals and trainings

Adhere to all park safety protocols, performance guidelines, and operational procedures

Maintain your designated scare area and report any safety or operational issues

Provide exceptional guest service while ensuring a fun and frightening experience for all guests

Qualifications

Must be at least 16 years of age

Ability to work nights, weekends, and all scheduled Fright Fest dates including Halloween

Prior acting or performance experience preferred, but not required

Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team-oriented environment

Able to handle wearing masks, makeup, and costumes for extended periods

Able to stand, walk, or perform physically demanding movements for long durations

Comfortable and able to work in areas that have loud noises, flashing lights, dark or dim lit areas, fog and various guest emotions

Some attractions are outside. This means you will be exposed to various weather conditions and temperatures. You will also be exposed to the conditions of the park which includes large hills and uneven surfaces

Additional Information

All roles require an audition and/or casting interview. This includes returners.

Training and costume fittings will be scheduled prior to opening weekend

This is a seasonal position with varying hours based on event dates and operational needs
