Overview
Equinix is seeking a visionary and strategic Vice President, Procurement – Design and Construction to lead a global function responsible for major capital equipment and whitespace deployment programs. This role will drive strategy, policy, and execution across the supply chain, ensuring seamless delivery of new design and construction projects, cost optimization, and innovation in infrastructure solutions.
You will lead a high-performing, diverse global team, fostering a culture of collaboration, transparency, and continuous improvement. This is a pivotal role in shaping the future of Equinix’s built environment and supply chain capabilities.
Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Program Execution
Set and optimize global strategies, structures, and processes for major capital equipment and whitespace deployment across design and construction programs.
Lead supplier strategy across global construction deployments, aligning with customer growth and speed-to-market goals.
Oversee substation development and power infrastructure across key markets.
Manage warehousing, logistics, and inventory programs to meet SLA targets and support revenue growth.
Guide Corporate Social Responsibility efforts in regional construction projects.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Advance supply chain capabilities using AI, predictive analytics, and blockchain to automate product lifecycle processes.
Introduce new supplier products and technologies to improve cost-efficiency and business continuity.
Lead global innovation initiatives in construction power solutions and procurement practices.
Governance & Standards
Develop and maintain global procurement and technical design standards.
Ensure adherence to global construction and commissioning standards throughout project phases.
Establish robust KPIs and program objectives to ensure high-quality, on-target delivery.
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with global and regional peers, legislators, and customers to align on strategic goals.
Provide high-quality reporting to corporate leadership and stakeholders.
Influence internal and external teams to uphold Equinix’s values and culture.

Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, PLC, and site-specific requirements.
Proven performance in construction technologies, market dynamics, and supply chain risks.
Strong executive network in global supply chain, with access to key decision-makers.
10+ years of people management experience, with a focus on talent development and coaching.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, energy management, or related field; Master’s preferred.
Compensation The targeted pay range for this position by location is listed below:
United States - CA Bay Area: 250,000 - 374,000 USD / Annual
United States - (CO, DE, FL, GA, MI, MN, NV, NH, OR, PA, RI, TX, WI): 230,000 - 346,000 USD / Annual
United States - (AL, AR, AZ, ID, IN, IA, KS, KT, LA, MN, MS, MO, MT, NE, NM, NC, ND, OH, OK, SC, SD, TN, UT, VE, WV, WY): 219,000 - 329,000 USD / Annual
United States - CA Non-Bay Area, AK, CT, DC, HI, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, VA, WA: 242,000 - 364,000 USD / Annual
Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location. The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience and relevant education and/or training. The targeted pay range listed reflects the base pay only and does not include bonus, equity, or benefits. Employees are eligible for bonus, and equity may be offered depending on the position.
