Overview The Reading Interventionist will provide small-group and individualized literacy instruction to students performing below grade level. This role is critical in helping students strengthen their reading skills and confidence during this temporary coverage period.
Location: Washington, DC
Responsibilities
Deliver targeted reading interventions aligned to research-based practices.
Use assessment data to plan and adjust instruction to accelerate student growth.
Collaborate with classroom teachers to support literacy across content areas.
Document student progress and provide updates to teachers and families.
Support a positive, inclusive, and engaging school environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in education or related field (required).
Reading specialist certification or significant experience in literacy instruction (preferred).
Knowledge of phonics, fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary strategies.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
