A growing boutique CPA and advisory firm in Southern California is seeking a Senior Tax Analyst to join its high-touch, relationship-driven practice. Founded by alumni of a top regional firm, the team focuses on closely held businesses in industries like real estate and construction. The firm offers a collaborative environment with direct client exposure, strong mentorship, and an emphasis on sustainable work-life balance. Role Overview:
The Senior Tax Analyst will prepare and review complex federal and state returns, with a strong emphasis on partnerships and individual taxation. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and review federal and state partnership, S-corp, and individual tax returns Calculate partner capital accounts and basis schedules Generate and review Schedule K-1s, ensuring accurate allocations Assist with depreciation schedules and cost segregation support Perform tax research and prepare written summaries Communicate directly with clients to request and clarify information Mentor and review work from junior staff Qualifications:
3–5 years of public accounting tax experience CPA or actively pursuing CPA license Strong understanding of partnership taxation and K-1s Familiarity with CCH Axcess or similar tax software Interest in real estate and construction clients Highly organized with strong communication skills Work Schedule & Culture:
Hybrid setup with
1 in-office day per week during non-tax season Capped busy season hours 40-hour workweeks
