Overview
Beckman Coulter Diagnostics, a Danaher operating company, is seeking a Field Service Engineer for the Palo Alto, CA area. This position reports to the Field Service Leader and is part of the San Francisco Field Service District spanning from Monterey, CA to Eugene, OR and will be fully remote based out of Palo Alto, CA or the surrounding cities on the San Francisco Peninsula. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Working independently, handle troubleshooting, installation, preventative maintenance, and service repair needs of Beckman Coulter equipment spanning across the company\\'s Hematology, Urinalysis, Microscopy, Microbiology, Immunoassay, Chemistry, and Informatics product lines. Maintain accurate customer service logs and internal service records, order repair parts, and adhere to cycle times. Utilize business systems such as Oracle Business Intelligence, Salesforce, and SharePoint for Service Call Planning and advancing team goals. Engage with internal and external stakeholders, understanding and meeting their requirements. Qualifications
Associate degree (prefer technical, biomedical, instrumentation, electrical engineering or related) or equivalent military experience. 1-year experience diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, robotics, electronic equipment, and/or instrumentation. Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements
Ability to travel ~25% within territory or locations covering the Northbay Area portion of Northern California. Travel may include San Francisco Bay Area and occasional travel to outside districts for on-the-job training. Must have a valid driver\\'s license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 50 lb, and frequently bend, stoop, twist, turn, crouch/crawl, push/pull, and sit/stand for extended periods. Reach at, above and below shoulder level; good hand and finger dexterity. Preferred experience
2+ years\\’ experience of advanced troubleshooting, installation, validation, preventative maintenance, modifications and/or service repair. Developing positive business relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, leading to increased customer satisfaction and supporting long-term retention. The hourly range for this role is $36.05/hour - $40.86/hour. In addition, there is a $2,000 monthly housing allowance afforded to the employee in recognition of the high cost of living in this area.
