Responsibilities
Oversee the company’s accounts payable operations and all AP processing and procedures.
Supervise and coach staff of 6-8; ensure accountability and stewardship of company resources.
Analyze and resolve problems; interpret policies; exercise judgment within procedures to determine action.
Assist Accounting at month-end in preparing and posting journal entries; research variances between budget and actual on the P&L.
Maintain internal controls over accounts payable (SOX) and ensure compliance with corporate policies (Concur, Plate IQ).
Review and approve invoices for leased vehicles and utilities; approve new vendors or changes to vendor information; resolve vendor inquiries.
Review monthly AP credit balances, month-end accruals (Amex, Concur, Sales Commissions, etc.), and maintain leased equipment schedules.
Develop SOPs; facilitate cross-training; provide training within the department and externally on AP policies and processes via telephone/Zoom.
Build relationships with operational departments and external vendors; identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements.
Develop and execute training programs for new account processes and systems (e.g., Concur expense report process and Plate IQ).
Perform system administration for Concur and Plate IQ; coordinate with Oxford Finance to ensure policy adherence.
Prepare month-end journal entries and set up fixed assets for SaaS purchases; administer Corporate AMEX purchasing cards.
Lead AP-related tasks to support overall finance objectives and month-end close.
Qualifications
BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred.
5+ years of experience in Accounting and Accounts Payable with at least 2+ years of management/supervisory experience.
Proficient knowledge of processing financial transactions in a high-volume environment.
Ability to analyze complex scenarios, identify required changes, and assess impact.
Familiar with IRS regulations.
Knowledge of supervisory practices; experience documenting and improving processes.
Experience with Concur, Plate IQ; experience with SOX controls; strong internal controls.
Multiple factors will vary the applicable rate of pay for this role, including an individual’s experience, knowledge, and skillset, as well as work location and available budget.
Rate Range Rate Range: $78,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually
