hands-on, resourceful Senior Human Resources Generalist

to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a startup-like environment—someone who enjoys building processes from the ground up, rolling up their sleeves to solve challenges, and working hard to create structure that supports both employees and leadership. This full-time position requires a well-rounded HR professional with strong knowledge of best practices and employment law, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to balance tactical execution with strategic thinking. Reporting to the Chief Of Business Operations, this role is critical in fostering an efficient, compliant, and supportive workplace while contributing directly to the growth of the company. Responsibilities

Take ownership of daily HR operations, including records management, HRIS updates, and documentation, with a builder’s mindset. Lead benefits administration, including open enrollment and employee support, ensuring clarity and accuracy. Provide practical, solutions-oriented guidance on employee relations while ensuring compliance with company policies and labor laws. Maintain HRIS data integrity, generate reports, and recommend improvements to systems and processes. Support performance management cycles, including setting up tools, processes, and tracking methods. Proactively ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while recommending scalable policies. Partner with leadership to design and implement HR policies and programs that support a growing workforce. Assist with training and development initiatives, creating tools and frameworks as needed. Coordinate payroll processes with internal/external providers and troubleshoot discrepancies. Collaborate with recruiting to support talent acquisition and onboarding—helping refine and scale hiring and onboarding practices as the company grows. Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. 5–8 years of progressive experience in HR administration or generalist roles. Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations (FMLA, ADA, EEO, etc.). Proficiency in HRIS systems (e.g., Paylocity) and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with high emotional intelligence. Proven ability to manage sensitive information with discretion. Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a dynamic environment. Preferred Qualifications

PHR or SHRM-CP certification. Direct experience with Paylocity (highly preferred). Experience supporting multi-state and international or distributed teams. Familiarity with payroll and benefits platforms. Background in a startup or high-growth organization. Strong initiative, adaptability, and continuous improvement mindset. Work Location

This role is currently remote (based in Virginia). However, as Safe Reach Solutions continues to grow and opens a local office in the Washington, DC metro area, the Senior HR Generalist will be expected to work on-site

three days per week . Candidates should be comfortable with a hybrid work environment that blends flexibility with in-person collaboration.
