Senior Front End Engineer
to join our internal Product engineering team. This role focuses on transforming UI/UX designs into high-performance, user-centric interfaces within our React-based application. You will integrate the front end with API Gateway-based micro-services, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality. The application will be hosted via AWS S3 static web hosting, secured with Cognito authentication, to provide a scalable and secure user experience that drives product adoption and market value. What You'll Do
Translate wireframes, prototypes, and design specifications into responsive, intuitive user interfaces using React and associated libraries. Connect the front-end application to API Gateway-based micro-services, handling data fetching, state management, and API interactions for optimal performance. Configure and deploy the application on AWS S3 for static web hosting, implementing Cognito for secure user authentication and authorization. Ensure cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, and performance optimizations, incorporating best practices for modern web development. Work with UI/UX designers, back-end engineers, and product managers to iterate on features, resolve issues, and align with overall product goals. Stay current with front-end trends, contributing to the evolution of our cybersecurity product to enhance usability and generate substantial ARR. You Have
5+ years of experience in front-end engineering, including building complex web applications Experience in React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and state management tools like Redux or Context API Experience connecting front ends to RESTful APIs or micro-services via API Gateway Knowledge of AWS S3 for static hosting and Cognito for authentication Ability to deliver user-focused solutions that contribute to product success Ability to display work samples Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or Artificial Intelligence Nice If You Have
Experience with design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD for seamless collaboration Experience with Next.js, Gatsby, or other React-based frameworks for enhanced performance Experience mentoring teams and leading front-end projects in product environments, including in cybersecurity or AI-driven applications a plus Ability to unit test, such as Jest or React Testing Library, and use performance tools such as Lighthouse Possession of excellent collaboration skills to excel in agile, cross-functional settings Master’s degree in Computer Science or Artificial Intelligence Compensation
The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
