What You Will Do

Flexware is looking for a Solutions Architect who will work with multiple teams and interface with different areas of the business, including Business Development, Delivery, and Operations. You will have experience in the Manufacturing space with expertise in Controls and Automation, SCADA, MES, and/or Software Development. Responsibilities include: Pre- Sales Process (60-70%) Participate in internal calls to review new opportunities Participate in onsite or virtual meetings with clients for scope discovery Design solutions with potential BOM of hardware and/or software Develop customer-facing demonstrations Obtain pricing from vendors and/or sub-contractors as needed Fill out Estimate worksheets to determine cost and effort for project scope Author technical content for scope of work documents Participate in final review of proposals with Business Development and Operations Own the delivery handoff including information and knowledge transfer to proper delivery teams

Architecture Services (5-15% billable time) Provide billable time on tasks such as Readiness Assessments, BOM reviews, and technical solutions architecture Provide consulting on block-of-time solutions architecture engagements

Sales Enablement and Marketing (10-20%) Build and maintain internal demos of Flexware products and solutions Support marketing with case studies, solution overviews, presentations, and blog posts Maintain vendor web portals for Flexware Collaborate with Sales Coordinator to improve proposal processes and tools

Continuous Learning and Other Duties (5-10%) Learn new technologies and products to enhance Flexware's offerings Attend vendor training events Note: We are not interviewing candidates who require sponsorship now or in the future

What You Might Have Done Before

Flexdogs are a rare breed who come from varied backgrounds but typically have the following traits for this role: A technical Bachelor's Degree (Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or similar) 10+ years of experience as an engineer, engineering consultant, or technical consultant to manufacturing companies in Automation, HMI, and SCADA Experience architecting and consulting in Automation and Controls, HMI, and SCADA for manufacturing clients using platforms such as Rockwell, Siemens, Ignition, Wonderware Ability to conceptualize proposed solutions and whiteboard discussions with clients Experience writing technical documents including proposals for estimating time, hardware, and project scope Experience writing technical requirements and specification documents Knowledge of technologies such as PLC Programming, Visualization Development, OT networks, Drives, Motion, Robot programming, ThinManager; familiarity with OEE, RFID, RTLS, AMR; .NET, SQL preferred but not required
