Overview We are hiring a Children's House Lead Guide (Teacher) for Guidepost Montessori in Downtown Naperville, Illinois. This role supports a mixed-age classroom of Preschool/ Kindergarten aged children in a Montessori environment designed for growth, exploration, and independence.

Responsibilities

Observe each child closely to understand and meet their physical, intellectual, and emotional needs.

Prepare a beautiful, orderly environment that fosters trust, exploration, deep learning, and independence.

Cultivate independence and self-confidence by helping children ‘do it all by themselves.’

Provide lessons to encourage practical life skills, language, and grace and courtesy.

Form personal connections with each child and cultivate a community of respect.

Communicate and collaborate respectfully with parents to provide the best possible care for every child.

An ideal candidate has

Interest in pursuing certified Montessori training through the Prepared Montessorian Institute (fully sponsored) or has previously obtained a Montessori diploma.

Experience working with children ages 3-6 in group settings such as daycare, aftercare, or nursery.

Familiarity with child-led philosophies such as Montessori or Reggio Emilia and/or openness to learning more.

6 or more Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development credits.

Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
