Eye Tracking System Engineer Graduate- Pico- 2026 Start-(PHD) at ByteDance. This is a graduate position with opportunities to contribute to eye tracking technology development within Pico’s VR/AR platform. Responsibilities
Establish an eye tracking performance evaluation method to evaluate existing eye tracking technologies. Develop modeling and measurement processes to predict the hardware performance impact on algorithm performance. Research, model and prototype new eye tracking system architectures. Additional responsibilities Develop and test eye tracking systems using optical sensing technologies and computer vision techniques; participate in design, prototyping and testing of eye tracking system architecture; perform data analysis; establish end-to-end hardware, image quality and algorithm performance correlation. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
MS degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science or related field Prefer to have relevant experience in eye tracking hardware or software development Experienced in prototyping optical systems, designing experiments, user studies and data analysis Proficient in Matlab, Python or C++ Experience in building partnerships and working with internal and external cross-functional teams Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment Preferred Qualifications
Optical modeling, photorealistic image rendering experience Image processing, machine learning, and/or algorithm development experience Job Information
Compensation
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $118000 - $259000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package and may be eligible for bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units. Benefits
