As a Gartner Analyst you will create and advise on a portfolio of Gartner research, communicate it to clients and support sales in new sales and client retention. Your research portfolio will provide insight, predictions and actionable advice to clients in the roles of Chief Data and Analytics Officers, Data & Analytics Leaders, and leaders of D&A Governance. You will also understand adjacent research areas and practices. Cover the specified areas as well as applicable adjacent areas, while maintaining a view across a broad spectrum of the market, to produce innovative, thought-leading, impactful, fact-based research. Areas may include leadership of D&A, delivering high-quality D&A products, projects and programs, identifying and measuring high-value data and analytic use cases within organizations, and other emerging topics. Utilize applicable experience in related industry discipline and deep knowledge of a particular market, including understanding of technology and industry, vendors, products and user strategies. Create and deliver high-value presentations and other materials for webinars, client meetings, large stage presentations, and workshops at conferences. Answer client questions through 350-500 client interactions per year (e.g., inquiry calls, document reviews). Apply critical thinking to de-construct and frame challenging client questions. Assist the Sales organization in selling and retention on topics covered by your team. Dive into research and analysis of complex datasets to identify problems and develop strategies that help clients solve problems and improve performance. Provide high-quality and timely research peer review. Provide mentorship and support to team members after time in the role. Actively participate in or lead research community meetings to discuss issues and collaborate with peers. What you’ll need: 12+ years of experience within the field of D&A Governance, D&A Leadership, or the role of CDAO. Significant applicable experience in the related industry discipline with deep knowledge of a particular market. Deep understanding of both technology and industry, including market, vendors, products and user strategies in specific areas. Experience presenting to clients at events and conferences, conducting workshops and briefings. Strong storytelling, written and verbal communication, analytical and presentation skills; ability to engage clients and respond to questions. Strong writing skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams in a multicultural global environment. Expertise in developing D&A delivery plans with budget and measurement considerations, including organizational structures, roles and responsibilities, and maturity levels. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; Graduate degree preferred. Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% (where applicable). Who are we? At Gartner, Inc. A base salary range for this role is 152,000 USD - 190,000 USD, with variation based on education, experience, location and other factors. In addition to base salary, employees may participate in a bonus plan or sales incentive plan. We also offer strong benefits including generous PTO and a 401k match.
