Student Guard Program Manager, Georgetown University Police Department Georgetown University Located in a historic neighborhood in the nation's capital, Georgetown offers rigorous academic programs, a global perspective, exciting ways to take advantage of Washington, D.C., and a commitment to social justice. Responsibilities Supervise the student guards, supervisors, rovers and student SafeRide dispatchers and drivers. Recruit, hire, train, schedule, and process payroll for the Student Guard Program. Assist the Special Operations and Support Services divisions with other assignments and projects. Manage assigned hours (approximately 250 hours/week during the academic semesters) and oversee approximately 35 to 50 part-time employees. Coordinate weekday, evening and weekend shifts.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher learning. At least 2 years of student group involvement, recruitment and hiring experience, including supervisory experience. Ability to supervise, evaluate, manage, and motivate student guards; diplomacy, courteous demeanor and pleasant personality when interacting with students, faculty, staff, and community members. Willingness and availability to work extended, odd, or off hours to meet departmental expectations, including rotating tours of duty (day, evening, overnight) with fluctuating days off as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of technology applications, including use of various computer hardware and software systems. Demonstrated leadership in a higher education environment.
