Greenberg Gross LLP, is seeking a Docketing Clerk to support our attorneys and staff firmwide. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 1+ years' experience. Qualified candidates must have strong knowledge of the State, Federal, Local, and Judges' rules. Must have a thorough understanding of the litigation process, as well as computation of time procedures, for accurate calculations of deadlines.
Responsibilities
Must be very detailed oriented, a fast learner, able to multi-task, and work independently in a very busy department.
Accuracy and attention to detail are essential.
Review filings, notices, and court rules to ensure accurate calendaring.
Generate and distribute docket reports to attorneys and staff.
Must have the ability to research resource guides, rule codes, authorities, and numerous courts' websites.
Candidate should be able to communicate quickly and clearly via emails and phone to inquiries from attorneys, secretaries, and paralegals regarding matter calendars and court procedures.
Qualifications
1+ years of litigation docketing experience in a law firm or court setting.
High school diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred..
An understanding of court docketing and calendaring procedures and familiarity with court filings and general rules of court for processing pleadings at the federal, state, and county level strongly preferred.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong proofreading skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and balance competing demands and meet deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to new software programs. Clio or comparable docketing software a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range:
$60,000 – $90,000 (DOE)
