Senior Manager of Technical Recruitment at Synergy Seeking a Data Architect to join a fast-growing company that is in the digital rights management space. As the Data Architect
you will lead the charge in designing and building a scalable, secure, and future-proof data infrastructure from the ground up. Onsite Role: 5 days a week in Chicago Salary Range: 150-190K Responsibilities Architect and implement
a robust data warehouse infrastructure from scratch, supporting both analytical and ML-driven use cases. Design and maintain
secure, scalable, and performant
ETL/ELT pipelines to move, transform, and enrich data. Partner with Engineering, Product, and Data Science teams to ensure seamless data flow and accessibility across systems. Integrate with
cloud platforms
(AWS and/or GCP) and ensure efficient use of services like
Redshift, BigQuery, S3, Glue, Athena . Drive
data governance , privacy, and compliance efforts (e.g.,
GDPR ,
CCPA ) in collaboration with legal and security teams. Provide
technical leadership , mentoring junior engineers and setting best practices across the organization. Enable self-service analytics through platforms like
Looker, Tableau, and Power BI .
Qualifications
5+ years
of hands-on experience in data architecture, with proven
leadership
in designing and scaling data platforms. Deep expertise in
building data warehouses from scratch not just maintaining or optimizing existing systems. Strong experience designing, implementing, and optimizing
ETL/ELT pipelines . Startup experience
is a mustyou know how to move fast, prioritize, and
build secure systems that scale . Hands-on experience with
AI/ML data pipelines
and enabling model deployment at scale. Proficiency in both
AWS (Redshift, S3, Glue, Athena)
and
Google BigQuery
is highly desired. Candidates with deep experience in one and exposure to the other will be considered. Familiarity with
data privacy and compliance frameworks
(GDPR, CCPA, etc.). Comfortable using modern BI tools like
Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
for end-user reporting and analytics.
