Overview

Amazon's Legal Department is looking for a talented commercial lawyer to fill the position of Corporate Counsel Network Infrastructure, supporting Amazon Web Services (AWS), a dynamic and rapidly growing business within Amazon.com. AWS is at the forefront of the cloud computing and service industry, providing IT infrastructure services such as on-demand compute capacity, storage, content delivery, database services, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and more. Responsibilities

Support AWS's network infrastructure, including subsea and terrestrial network transactions. Manage network regulatory and compliance matters. Identify opportunities for automation and simplification and implement scalable mechanisms to recognize these opportunities. Resolve legal issues that arise in commercial relationships and handle pre-litigation legal disputes. Basic Qualifications

Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent 5+ years of legal experience Experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements Preferred Qualifications

Familiar with cloud computing, IT infrastructure, and telecommunications Compensation and Benefits

Base pay ranges from $138,500/year in the lowest geographic market up to $229,000/year in the highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
