As a CBRE Chief Building Engineer Supervisor, you will supervise the team responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing ongoing maintenance and repair operations for a facility, a campus, or a portfolio of buildings. This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services function, providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. What You’ll Do

Track the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching opportunities. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees. Coordinate and manage the team\'s daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed. Develop, implement, and communicate preventive maintenance programs and safety procedure manuals. Ensure technicians have the proper information and materials to complete work activities in a high-quality and timely fashion. Develop material and labor cost estimates for work orders, preventive maintenance activities, systems, and construction projects. Establish and maintain budgets for facilities maintenance. Respond to emergency situations and seek assistance when needed. Apply advanced knowledge to develop new, better methods for accomplishing objectives. Demonstrate expertise in the primary discipline and broad knowledge of other related disciplines. Coach others to develop in-depth knowledge and expertise across the function. Lead by example in line with CBRE RISE values; influence at senior levels when needed. Impact objectives across multi-discipline teams; contribute to procedural and policy design within the function. Contribute to new products, processes, standards, and operational plans to achieve functional goals. Communicate difficult concepts effectively and with influence. Supervisory Responsibilities

Provides formal supervision to staff within a single functional area. Oversees staffing decisions, performance appraisals, and development opportunities. Maintains staffing levels and labor utilization, including overtime, and mentors team members. What You’ll Need

Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future. High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 5-8 years of related experience. A combination of experience and education may be considered in lieu of a diploma. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Ability to meet physical requirements: stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and lifting/carrying heavy loads (50 lbs+). Innovative mentality to develop methods beyond existing solutions. Problem-solving ability with broad impact on the business; capable of using standard and innovative solutions. In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset. Mathematical aptitude for somewhat complex calculations (percentages, fractions, etc.). Safety

Responsible for personal safety and the safety of others affected by your work. Includes but is not limited to: Complete required HSE training; follow all activity policies and procedures. Participate in HSE programs, investigations, auditing, and assessments. Report unsafe conditions or stop work when required. As a Manager
