Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated

Configuration Manager (CM)

to join our team supporting the Engineering, Professional, and Administrative Support Services (EPASS) contract at Peterson SFB, in Colorado Springs, CO supporting the COBRA DANE Branch. This critical role will oversee the configuration management processes, ensuring integrity, traceability, and control of systems and documentation for the mission-critical operations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in configuration management principles, a strong understanding of engineering processes, and a commitment to excellence in a dynamic high-stakes environment. This is a full-time position located at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO. Responsibilities

Duties include, but are not limited to: Perform the technical administrative activities necessary to manage the Aras Product Life-cycle Management (PLM) tool for inventory control, version control, and data duplication

Oversee the creation, maintenance and storage of configuration-related documentation, ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) standards, policies, and EPASS contract requirements. Define and document configuration items (CIs), including hardware, software, and associated documentation, ensuring all components are accurately identified and tracked throughout their life-cycle. Manage changes by establishing and enforcing change control processes, evaluating proposed changes, and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure controlled implementation. Maintain accurate records of the status and history of CIs, including version control, baselines, and change documentation. Manage and support Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) / including planning, minutes, and actions Assist the Government in developing Configuration Management plans; maintaining design traceability and integrity; convening and managing change boards; and preparing for and attending major events such as, but not limited to, PDRs, CDRs, Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs), Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs), CCBs, or equivalent milestones utilized in the Agile process. Conduct regular audits, such as FCAs and PCAs to verify that drawings and documentation align with the approved configurations. Review, report, and analyze the Development/Sustainment Contractor's data/item delivery status and conformance to CDRL requirements Manage configurations of software, engineering documents, design drawings, engineering changes and notices, and plan/participate in PCAs. The candidate must have skills and experience necessary to work closely with program management, Logistics, Engineering, and Contracts in an integrated product team (IPT) environment. Ensures integrity of the baseline including major releases, minor releases, patches, and software maintenance Qualifications

Associates Degree Years of Experience:

15 years of experience as a Configuration Manager, five of which must be in the US Air Force, US Space Force, or DOD space community

OR , BA/BS with 10 years as a Configuration Manager, five of which must be in the US Air Force, US Space Force, or DOD space community Additional Experience: Experience performing HW configuration audits An in-depth understanding of the configuration change control process, the role of the CCB, and change control documentation Understanding of all phases of the software development life cycle utilizing the Agile process Additional Information: Location:

Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as the Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
