Schulte Companies is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Director of Maintenance to join the team. This role is part of a larger portfolio that includes various brands and properties managed by Schulte Hospitality Group. Job Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure fulfillment of proactive preventative maintenance programs to brand standards, covering equipment such as laundry, heating and air conditioning, ice machines, fire extinguishers/smoke alarms, and plumbing Follow safe working practices and conditions Inspect guest rooms after preventative maintenance and review issues with maintenance staff Maintain current inventory of supplies Maintain a work order system for completed and pending tasks; prioritize and complete work orders in a timely manner; monitor deficiencies Ensure swimming pool and spa maintenance duties comply with brand standards and health department regulations Maintain hotel grounds, curb appeal and building exteriors Assist other departments in fulfilling guest requests and resolving concerns Assist in coordinating and supervising contracted capital projects Educate hotel personnel on emergency procedures and safety precautions Hire, coach and discipline direct reports Participate in regular property walk-throughs and report/fix identified deficiencies promptly Function as a member of the emergency organization team with knowledge of life safety Be aware of fire, safety, and protection equipment/hazards Perform other duties as assigned to meet business objectives Education and Experience
Minimum of High School education; post-high school education preferred Minimum of five (5) years in a maintenance leadership position, preferably within hotels Two (2) years of college or trade school equivalent in mechanical, electrical, and/or technical disciplines preferred Certified pool operator certification preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Basic math skills Effective verbal and written communication Strong leadership skills Customer focus and ability to exceed guest and team expectations Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel; Outlook a plus) Detail oriented and committed to excellence Note:
