What this position entails IntelliScripts Information Technology has been a key part of our success and is critical to our future. In this position, you will have responsibility for shaping the ongoing development and enhancement of IntelliScripts industry-leading software. You will work closely with the development team on technological research and architecture decisions. The Software Architect role is expected to analyze and provide recommendations to improve existing system architecture and performance, as well as help define standards and provide guidance on new development. What you will be doing Software development responsibilities, combined with partnership among business teams Develop prototypes to evaluate new technologies and consider architectural approaches Assess and improve system architecture and performance Participate in design process and code reviews Help design standardizations and structure of current and future development projects Serve as a technical resource for the development team What we need 10+ years of relevant experience Proven experience in software architecture oversight, including designing and guiding the implementation of complex systems, with a strong ability to actively participate in hands-on development and collaboration with engineering teams Passionate about building high-quality systems with AWS best practices Experience with domain driven design Experience with microservice architecture Experience with event-driven architecture Strong experience with .NET, C#, SQL, API and service development Experience with React, HTML, CSS and related web UI frameworks Understanding of Agile practices (e.g. scrum) What you bring to the table Ability to ramp up quickly on both new and existing technologies Excellent technical design, problem solving, and debugging skills Excellent collaborative skills, with strong written and verbal communication Self-motivated team player who can run with a project and is willing to pitch in as needed Proactive and positive approach to solving problems, and correcting issues Facilitate collaboration among team members Demonstrated lets find a way to do it attitude no task is too big or too small, always willing to pitch in and help someone else Loves to learn, takes every opportunity theyre given to develop knowledge and skills Adapts to an established process, able to move projects along in a timeframe Wish list Continued education and/or advanced degree(s) Experience with Java Understanding of DevOps principles Experience in environments subject to HIPAA and/or PCI regulations Experience in software-as-a-service, Insurtech, and/or healthcare technology Location This position will be based out of the Milliman office in Brookfield, WI; however, this position is open to remote work. Applicants must be willing to travel to the Milliman office in Brookfield, WI for quarterly PI Planning meetings and an annual company meeting. The anticipated closing date is October 15, 2025. Compensation The overall salary range for this role is $131,600 - $260,640. For candidates residing in: Alaska, California, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington, or the District of Columbia the salary range is $144,760 - $238,920. New York City, Newark, San Jose, or San Francisco the salary range is $157,920 - $260,640. All other locations the salary range is $131,600 - 217,200.
