Senior Software Engineer role at BlackLine. Responsibilities
Design, debug, and build software applications. Participate in code reviews and test plans. Help in project planning by identifying cross-team dependencies and effort estimation. Work in an agile environment to release software on a regular schedule. Troubleshoot existing software and resolve problems. Research, test, benchmark, and evaluate new tools and technologies, and recommend how to implement them in product development. Maintain high standards of software quality and technical excellence by establishing good practices and writing clean, testable, maintainable, and secure code. Proactively identify issues, bottlenecks, gaps, or other areas of concern or opportunities and drive or advocate for change. Perform critical maintenance, deployment, and release support activities, including occasional off-hours support. What Youll Bring (Qualifications)
BS degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of software development experience in languages such as C#, .NET, .NET Core. 2+ years building Web Applications, SaaS products, and RESTful APIs. 2+ years of experience in SQL, data modeling, and transactional workflows. 2+ years of experience with a public cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud-native services. Solid computer science foundation including data structures, algorithms, and design patterns. Ability to break down Epics into User Stories. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Nice-to-Haves
FinTech or financial services domain background. Experience with Scrum or other Agile methodologies. Knowledge of internet security issues in software design and code. Experience with open source tools and data integration/middleware. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., MS Dynamics-365, Oracle, NetSuite, Intacct). Experience with front-end technologies and public cloud architectures; cloud-native services. Experience designing and scaling high-performance systems. Experience with container management (e.g., Kubernetes) and API gateways, identity management, messaging platforms, and job scheduling. Thrive at BlackLine
