The Tactical Recon and Strike (TRS) team develops aerial drones (Group 1-3) and the equipment to test, deploy, and operate them. The team brings products like Ghost, Anvil, Bolt and Altius from sketches to operational systems, working with specialist teams to address customer challenges. About The Job
We are looking for software engineers, hardware engineers, roboticists, and front-end mobile developers who are excited about creating a powerful robotics platform that can be tasked and viewed in real-time through various interfaces. We are seeking a Computer Vision / Machine Learning Engineer to apply the latest research to solve our toughest problems. This position will be located at our headquarters in Costa Mesa, CA (relocation benefits provided). What You’ll Do
Propose and prototype innovative solutions to real-world problems using state-of-the-art techniques Develop and maintain core libraries and runtime applications Integrate classical and geometric methods in computer vision with ML methods Collaborate with ML and Data Infra teams to construct benchmarks for analyzing system performance Required Qualifications
MS or PhD in Machine Learning, Robotics or Computer Science, with emphasis on Computer Vision BS in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Electrical Engineering, or related field 4+ years of experience developing and benchmarking ML algorithms on large-scale datasets High proficiency in C++ development in a Linux environment Experience deploying models with TensorRT and ONNX Experience with Python development and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) Experience writing and maintaining automated CI tests Experience in one or more of the following areas: Object Detection, Object Tracking, Instance Segmentation, Semantic Segmentation; Visual Odometry, SLAM, 3D Geometry, and related robotics vision topics Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance Preferred Qualifications
Experience troubleshooting and analyzing remotely deployed software systems Proficient in Python Proficient in CUDA Location & Status
Location: Costa Mesa, CA (relocation benefits provided). Compensation & Benefits
US Salary Range: $168,000—$252,000 USD The salary range is an estimate and may vary based on experience, education, skills, and business considerations.
