Plymouth Rock Assurance
The Boston-based Home Product team is seeking a self-motivated and creative Product Analyst with a strong desire to leverage their analytical skills to help solve practical business problems.
Responsibilities
Be a key member of the team that is accountable for the P&L, responsible for driving the business to achieve budgeted growth and profitability
Gain valuable business knowledge in a fast-paced insurance industry through hands-on training and onboarding
Evaluate the company’s competitive position through research and analysis of competitive intelligence reports
Assist with developing business and underwriting strategies
Participate in cross-functional project team representing Product
Effectively manage projects of high complexity using available tools and data systems to identify, test and solve strategic business issues within the company data/reports, troubleshoot when there are inconsistencies
Provide support for state filings for rate and other new initiatives, including building and supporting the rate indications
Collaborate with other departments to strategically address their needs as they relate to the product; Review documentation, interpret rules, and coordinate activities with other departments such as marketing, customer service, underwriting, finance, claims, actuarial and IT
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or related field
1 + year of prior Insurance or Casualty Experienced preferred
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High level of intellectual curiosity
Knowledge of data analytics tools – Excel, preferably including SQL, R, or Python
