Ramp is an engineering company focused on building the best engineering team. Our Infrastructure supports compute orchestration, databases, messaging, observability, and developer environments. This role is cross-functional within Infrastructure with a focus on government environments (FedRAMP, GovRAMP). You will own and guide the evolution of our government infrastructure while contributing to high-leverage infra projects across the org. You will be expected to mentor others, raise the bar across the team, and collaborate to ensure architecture meets strict operational and security requirements. What You’ll Do

Influence the evolution of Ramp’s infrastructure to support government environments Contribute to the next generation of infrastructure across databases, real-time queues, and container orchestration, ensuring changes fit secure environments Collaborate to scale best practices with cloud-native technologies (Cloudflare, Amazon ALB, Service Discovery, ECS/EKS, Celery, Kafka, Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL, Elasticache Redis, S3) Build abstractions within Terraform to simplify architecture and increase developer velocity Address scaling, performance, and low-latency challenges Participate in an on-call rotation for production issues Mentor engineers and foster a high-performing, inclusive engineering culture What You Need

Minimum 6 years of experience shipping high-quality architectures for critical systems (preferred) Production experience in AWS, GCP, or Azure Ability to translate customer requirements into high-impact solutions Expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code, especially Terraform Proficiency in an object-oriented programming language FedRAMP Requirements

Proven experience designing and operating cloud infrastructure (AWS) compliant with FedRAMP security standards Expertise implementing secure Terraform-based IaC solutions aligned with FedRAMP controls and audits Strong understanding of secure data handling, encryption, logging, and access controls under FedRAMP Experience building, scaling, and securing database infrastructure and container orchestration for FedRAMP compliance Benefits (for U.S.-based Full-time Employees)
