Sr Data Scientist
role at
Spectrum , Stamford, CT. Lead model development and enhancement within a team responsible for providing data driven solutions to business problems unique to Charter’s customer operations. Automate complex analysis processes to improve team productivity. Communicate across functions to ensure the projects are delivered with good quality and in a timely manner. Create statistical or machine learning models in Python to predict credit risk and customer behavior. Track and adjust models to keep them accurate and effective. Design and test modeling related algorithms to improve the scoring. Develop continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for sales and margin analysis. Create reports and visualizations to share insights with senior leaders. Collaborate with business analysts and IT to understand needs, then provide data solutions. Crosscheck with data analysts and set up procedures to maintain high data quality and accuracy. Explain data insights and solutions to both technical and non-technical team members.
Base pay range $175,781.00/yr - $205,100.00/yr
Education / Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Operations Research, or a related field. 5 years of experience utilizing Python to write complex scripts and implement machine learning algorithms; utilizing SQL to write complex queries, extract data from databases, and manipulate data from databases; using the data visualization tools Sas Viya, Vscode, or JMP to present data insights clearly and effectively; utilizing the machine learning algorithms Generalized linear model, Penalized regression model (lasso or ridge type), XGBoost, or Random Forest to predict trends and patterns in data; and applying the statistical methods T-test, F-test, Experimental design (DOE), Minimum Sample Size calculation, and Exploratory data analysis (EDA) to analyze data and draw conclusions. A hybrid (in office and remote work) arrangement is available.
