Overview

On-site Desktop Support Technician role located in Downtown Chicago. The On-site Desktop Support Technician will handle technical issues escalated from the helpdesk and work with end users to troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity problems, along with supporting the business on project-based requirements. Responsibilities

Respond to tickets escalated from the helpdesk and provide end user support around hardware, software, and connectivity. Provide root cause analysis on repeat incidents to provide permanent fixes. Be responsible for a broad scope of operational support, project-based requirements and install, move, add, and change (IMAC) requests. Carry out floor walking and proactive checks to ensure optimal availability of IT systems and devices. Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions. Collect and analyze performance data to provide technical assistance. Register new devices onto the asset register, managing the asset lifecycle through to disposal and recycling. Qualifications

3+ years of strong experience providing Desktop Support or Field Services including troubleshooting hardware, software, connectivity, and operating system issues. Resolving issues without impacting the hardware warranty or customer security compliance requirements. L2 level experience in installing, technical troubleshooting and fixing desktops, printers, laptops, and other computer peripherals and desktop applications. Good understanding of and experience with O365, SCCM, Skype, Teams, VPN, mobile devices, Active Directory, networking, and remote support tools. Basic knowledge of enterprise LAN and WAN setups and concepts. Ability to perform smart hand activity under instruction-based activities at sites. Experience with ticketing tools (ServiceNow / Remedy). This role is working days & hours: Monday - Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
