Overview
This position will provide technical expertise in the setup, configuration, administration, and maintenance of Oracle database, Oracle Analytics Server and Informatica PowerCenter that support mission-critical projects, processes, and activities. The role monitors and tunes applications to optimal performance and ensures proper security, integrity, and recovery of data. This role is responsible for upgrades and patches to the infrastructure components of the Data Analytics and Reporting ecosystems. Administration of Oracle Analytics Server, Informatica Power Center, Oracle Database, Goldengate, WebLogic, Apache, Tomcat, Apex, ORDS, Tableau on both on-premise and cloud. CORE DUTIES
Database Administration: Install, configure, and support Oracle Database systems with Data Guard. Monitor performance and optimize for high availability. Middleware Management: Oversee complex WebLogic and Oracle Fusion Middleware environments, focusing on installation, configuration, and maintenance. Analytics and ETL Support: Administer Oracle Analytics Server and Tableau, ensuring efficient data processing, reporting, and visualization. Cloud Infrastructure Management: Deploy and manage Oracle Database instances in AWS and OCI, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. Containerization: Utilize Docker and Kubernetes for containerizing applications and databases, enhancing deployment flexibility and efficiency. DevOps Practices: Implement CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes, utilizing tools such as Flexdeploy, or SVN for continuous integration and delivery. Replication and Troubleshooting: Install, configure, and troubleshoot Oracle GoldenGate for data replication. Address application deployment and runtime issues to minimize downtime. Scripting and Automation: Utilize Python and Shell scripting for automating routine database tasks and maintenance, improving operational efficiency. Security Management: Implement security measures using SSL and SSO. Conduct vulnerability assessments using tools like Qualys and apply fixes as necessary. System Administration: Provide ongoing support for technical infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity between systems and adherence to organizational best practices. Policy Development: Develop and enforce security standards and implement policies for infrastructure management. Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for system configurations, procedures, and best practices to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance. Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Eight years of relevant experience in database administration, cloud technologies, and DevOps practices, or a combination of education and relevant experience. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficiency in administering and tuning Oracle Database 19c. Experience with application servers such as Oracle 12c WebLogic and Tomcat. Familiarity with web servers (e.g., Apache) and replication tools like Oracle GoldenGate. Strong knowledge of AWS and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with version control systems (Git, SVN) and CI/CD tools. Proficiency in programming and scripting languages, especially Python and Shell. Strong working knowledge of Linux-based systems. Certifications and Licenses
Relevant certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) for Database Administration, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure certifications. Seniority level
