Overview The Project Engineer will be responsible for assisting the Engineering Manager in planning, designing, and coordinating all capital projects, including the installation of new equipment, refurbishment of existing equipment, and commissioning.
Responsibilities
Plan, design, and install new equipment.
Work collaboratively with the Operations and Maintenance departments. Provide technical support in the acquisition, installation, operation, maintenance, and improvement of manufacturing equipment.
Research new industry developments in engineering techniques, machines, equipment, materials, etc., and incorporate the innovations into existing operations.
Enforce departmental and plant objectives in areas of Safety, Quality, Sanitation, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness.
Coordinate building preventative maintenance activities and repairs with plant and area leads.
Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and safety standards are incorporated into new designs.
Qualifications
BS Degree in Engineering
Advanced electrical fundamentals knowledge, industrial medium voltage, power distribution, NFPA 70e trained
Ability to read, interpret, and create engineering drawings
Capital and plant operations (maintenance) project management
HAZOP and process hazard analysis
Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements of OSHA, FDA & EPA
