Primary Responsibilities

The Vice President of Total Rewards will lead KeHE’s Total Rewards Centers of Excellence (COEs), playing a pivotal role in driving the strategy and transformation of programs across key areas such as enterprise Compensation, Employee Benefits, Retirement Plans, and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) Management. This role partners with the CHRO and other members of the executive HR team to position HR as a strategic, solutions-oriented partner to the broader KeHE enterprise. Additionally, this leader will serve as a key advisor to the Compensation Committee, ensuring that KeHE’s pay practices align with business strategy and support best in class performance across all business units. Design and implement a holistic Total Rewards strategy encompassing compensation, comprehensive health and welfare benefits, and retirement that strengthens the employee value proposition, enhances retention, and aligns with organizational culture and business goals. Partner with the CHRO and Compensation Committee on executive compensation strategy and reporting. Monitor market trends and ensure alignment with governance standards for pay equity and compliance. Leverage workforce analytics and market insights to guide compensation and benefits strategies, providing actionable recommendations to executive leadership. Collaborate with Finance, IT, and other key stakeholders to align technology and data strategies with enterprise goals. Serve as a strategic advisor to the M&A Advisory Board, providing guidance on organizational design, cost efficiency/optimization and business impact. Lead a team of people leaders, fostering an environment of continuous improvement, growth, and development. Evaluate and redefine processes through automation to improve efficiency, minimize errors, and enable teams to focus on higher-value, strategic priorities. Develop and manage vendor partnerships to drive innovation, service quality, and cost optimization. Oversee full P&L responsibility, ensuring effective budget management, cost optimization, and alignment with enterprise financial goals. Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Ability to design and evolve compensation, benefits, equity and recognition programs aligned with business objectives. Deep understanding of pay-for-performance models, long-term incentives, and regulatory implications. Strong understanding of financials, P&L impact of regards, and workforce ROI in a large-scale matrixed enterprise. Able to lead compensation and benefits integration during mergers, acquisitions and divestitures. Mastery in compensation surveys, market pricing, job architecture, and competitive positioning. Strong understanding and expertise in health, retirement, wellness Skilled in leveraging HR technology for rewards planning and reporting. Comfortable with data modeling, trend analysis, and predictive analytics for rewards optimization. Capable of influencing the C-Suite and Board of Directors, particularly the Compensation Committee. Leading enterprise-wide transformations, including pay equity, new pay philosophies and/or wellness strategy shifts. Ability to manage teams through coaching, mentoring, and strong leadership. Partnering across Finance, Legal, Investor Relations and other business units. Clear articulation of complex rewards programs to diverse employee audiences. Effectively manage and assess existing vendor partnerships to ensure alignment to KeHE’s culture, growth and scalability. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and other market technologies. Education and Experience

Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, Economics or related field required. Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Psychology, Finance or similar preferred. 12+ years of progressive HR/Total Rewards experience with at least 5+ years in a leadership role. Experience with leadership of compensation and benefits strategy for a rapidly growing company. Experience with management of large-scale rewards budgets and cost modeling for large workforce. Proven success leading HR transformations. Experience with stock-based compensations plans. Physical Requirements
