Role

The

Cost/Pricing Analyst III

provides senior-level expertise to the Chief of Pricing by delivering advanced guidance and strategic recommendations on highly complex cost and pricing issues critical to Air Force acquisition and sustainment. This position requires the ability to independently address and resolve pricing challenges on mission-critical projects within Federal, DoD, and Air Force contracting frameworks. As a senior analyst, you will serve as a technical expert and key advisor for high-visibility programs, performing comprehensive cost and pricing analyses and supporting the development of innovative solutions for complex procurement needs essential to national security.

Responsibilities Strategic Pricing Leadership: Serve as a principal advisor to procurement and pricing teams, providing authoritative guidance on complex cost and pricing issues and recommending effective, compliant pricing solutions.

Advanced Proposal Evaluation: Lead the in-depth evaluation of contract price proposals for accuracy, regulatory compliance, and alignment with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), ensuring all submissions meet rigorous standards for reasonableness and completeness.

Technical Expertise: Technical expert on pricing matters, advising specialists on best practices and guiding issue resolution with broad strategic impact.

Independent Analysis: Perform independent, comprehensive pricing analyses for major acquisitions, incorporating risk assessments and evaluating elements such as government assistance, capital investment, and subcontracting complexity.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Contracting Officers to develop cost objectives and strategies, applying expert knowledge of pricing regulations and best practices across multiple disciplines to support acquisition needs.

Policy and Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and improvement of pricing policies, procedures, and methodologies, integrating advanced pricing principles to enhance procurement outcomes.

Data-Driven Insights: Leverage advanced Excel skills for data analysis, cost projections, and documentation, producing clear and actionable pricing reports to guide high-stakes decision-making.

Qualifications Education: Master of Arts, Master of Science, or Master of Engineering (MA/MS/ME) degree in a relevant field.

Experience: Minimum of ten (10) years of relevant DoD, IC, or industry experience, including at least two (2) years in a Special Access Program (SAP) or Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) environment, with at least one (1) year of that experience within the past five years.

License: Valid and active driver’s license.

Clearance: Active TS/SCI clearance with eligibility for a Government Counterintelligence Scope Polygraph (CI Poly).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Guidance and Leadership: Demonstrated ability to work independently within general guidance, applying advanced knowledge and expertise to address highly complex pricing challenges across multiple disciplines.

Expertise in Cost Analysis and Pricing: Deep understanding of cost analysis principles, CAS, and DoD pricing regulations, with significant experience managing complex and sensitive pricing scenarios.

Regulatory Mastery: Advanced knowledge of Federal, DoD, and Air Force contracting and pricing policies, allowing for strategic decision-making and compliance across diverse contracting contexts.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional analytical abilities, with the capacity to independently assess and resolve complex pricing issues and provide high-level recommendations.

Advanced Excel Proficiency: Mastery of Excel for performing data analysis, cost projections, and generating thorough pricing documentation.

Communication and Advising Skills: Outstanding communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical insights to senior stakeholders and supporting organizational objectives.

High-Impact Decision-Making: Proven ability to manage mission-critical aspects of programs with strategic importance, providing independent, high-level support to enhance acquisition effectiveness.

Flexibility for Travel: Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS as needed; however, travel is expected to be infrequent if at all.
