Job Description Primary Function of Position

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM) to lead our supplier engagement efforts and drive value through high-performing partnerships. This role is responsible for advancing Intuitive’s SRM framework through the development of key supplier relationships, overseeing supplier contract performance, mitigating risk through Third Party Risk Management (TPRM), and driving continuous improvement in supplier performance.

Responsibilities

Build & maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring effective communications, guidance, and support of Intuitive procurement objectives.

Partner with Strategic Sourcing & Category Management, Contract Center of Excellence, Procurement Systems & Analytics teams to refine and advance management, reporting, and tracking of Intuitive’s key suppliers.

Serve as a trusted advisor for internal teams to complement and enrich key supplier relationships.

Work with embedded VMO functions to provide governance framework and ensure its implementation throughout.

Facilitate regular business reviews and strategic planning sessions with suppliers.

Influence cross-functional teams to support supplier development programs.

Develop the process and policies for assessing supplier risk across all spend categories.

Coordinate with Sourcing, Procurement Contracts, Security, Privacy and Legal teams to ensure active supplier assessment methodology remains aligned with company policy.

Drive supplier resolution with internal business leads and suppliers for identified risk issues.

Ensure TPRM application integration integrity with downstream systems.

Develop issue reporting process including guidance to business teams on exit strategy and disaster recovery planning.

Establish governance for supplier performance reviews and track performance against contracted products/services.

Support Strategic Sourcing Managers to drive resolution of supplier issues and create reporting/dashboards to showcase SRM metrics.

Partner with Business Leads to develop contingency planning, corrective action, and exit strategies for critical suppliers.

Stay informed on industry trends, supplier innovations, and emerging risks; elevate new suppliers and technologies to improve value delivery.

Qualifications Required Education and Training

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).

7-10+ years of experience developing, implementing, and managing SRM programs for procurement organizations.

Preferred Skills And Experience

Mature experience with TPRM-related applications (e.g., WorldCheck, Giact, Dow Jones, Exiger).

Deep familiarity with various types of purchase requisitions, expenses, services, blanket orders, etc.

Experience executing in a global landscape.

Experience performing cost analysis and spend analytics.

Ability to assess supplier capabilities in alignment with internal business needs.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications. The target salary ranges are listed below.

Base Salary Range Region 1:

$138,700 - $199,500

Base Salary Range Region 2:

$117,800 - $169,600
