Responsibilities
Analyse construction documents—including drawings, specifications, and technical data for accurate scope determination Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop cost estimates for concrete, masonry, and restoration work Prepare competitive bids and proposals, encompassing labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs relevant to projects such as parking garage restoration, facade restoration and ground-up construction Collaborate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to gather pricing and negotiate competitive rates Support value engineering initiatives to achieve cost savings while maintaining structural integrity and design standards Track and analyse bidding results to refine estimating practices and improve accuracy Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of experience in estimating concrete and masonry construction projects Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or similar degree preferred Strong knowledge of concrete and masonry materials Experience in take-offs for Building Restoration Projects, Parking Garage restoration and waterproofing projects Competent in using estimating software (such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, On-Screen Takeoff) Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications Strong analytical and mathematical skills, strong technical aptitude Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a stressful, fast-paced environment Permanent Residents or Green Card holders only!
