Responsibilities
Improve and iterate new various optical systems or modules from R&D prototypes. Standardize optical module designs by engineering it using industrial software including Autodesk Inventor, Zemax, and COMSOL. Set up and maintain test stations to validate standard optical modules. Collect feedback on optical modules from end users. Develop and de-risk critical optical components to enable next generation QPU. Mentor junior staff members Qualifications
Ph.D. in experimental physics or equivalent industry experience. Strong hands-on laboratory skills. Strong publication record or record of innovation and accomplishment, including patents or product development cycles. Experience leading the design of scientific instruments and apparatus. Deep domain expertise in the areas of optics, modulators, lasers, electronics, and ultra-high vacuum.
