Overview KSN, Kjeldsen, Sinnock & Neudeck, Inc. (KSN) is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our team to help us fulfil our mission to be the trusted firm for delivering the right solutions for our clients’ flood control & agricultural engineering needs.

The successful candidate will be eligible for signing bonus of between $5,000 and $10,000 depending on experience and education.

Base pay range $115,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

As a Senior Civil Engineer focusing on Water Resources, you will be leading a team to support our flood management, and agricultural water supply and drainage clients in Northern California. The ideal candidate will be an energetic and proactive professional who can lead a team, multitask, and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. You will report directly to the company’s senior management team.

Responsibilities

Working in flood control, agricultural engineering, environmental restoration, and project management to support our clients in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, Central Valley and Sacramento Valley regions.

Assisting in the design of projects, performing engineering studies, preparing construction documents and engineering calculations, and providing client support for various funding programs.

Preparing detailed written memoranda and reports on technical assignments and presenting technical information to peers and clients, representing KSN and clients on multiple levels.

Skills and Experience

California PE required (or ability to obtain California license within 6 months.)

8-plus years of experience including project management preferred

Self-motivated, technically competent, client- and solution-focused individual.

Able to be self-directing and self-starting.

Possesses advanced oral and written communication skills, including interpretation of complex technical and contractual language.

Aptitude and hands-on experience with computer applications used in Civil Engineering.

Experience developing construction plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates.

Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions regarding complex issues.

Demonstrated ability to gather, organize and analyze engineering data and make comprehensive reports.

Ability to lead project meetings and represent the organization in communications pertaining to broad aspects of engineering assignments.

Compensation Compensation package commensurate with experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.

Salary Range is $115,000-$150,000 per year.

The position of Senior Civil Engineer is an exempt position.
