Business Leader: Grow and establish our upper middle market casualty business within construction, oil & gas, and defense contractors. Work with BU leadership and strategic analytics to create new actuarial analyses and large middle-market processes that provide actionable information to BU leaders to guide strategy. Technical Pricing: Establish and improve technical pricing by developing accurate risk assessments; refine the current structure, identify new predictors, and build new models. Profitability Reviews: Provide insight to BU leadership and senior executives on the health of the book, differentiating between products and segments, and identifying growth opportunities. Focus on specialty products such as professional liability for contractors, subcontractor default, defense base act, and foreign casualty, as well as traditional casualty lines for middle market construction and oil & gas risks. Key Evaluation Criteria
Vice Presidents generally are FCAS, with significant and broad industry experience, demonstrated success turning questions into solutions, managing teams, and partnering with business unit executives. Experience in construction risk pricing is a plus. The role values entrepreneurial skills, building new underwriting tools and advanced research projects. Superior communication skills are important for partnering with underwriters and presenting to business leaders. Additional information
For NYC and Jersey City: base range $174,800 - $271,446/year. Position is incentive eligible. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
