Havas Media Network
Associate Director, Talent Acquisition at Havas
Job Overview: Havas Media is seeking a Digital Investment Director to provide strategic input and leadership while overseeing tactical media buying and execution for a major pharmaceutical client. This role requires deep experience in both DTC (Direct-to-Consumer) and HCP (Healthcare Professional) campaigns, and a strong command of the digital media ecosystem—from planning through execution. You’ll be responsible for managing the full tactical investment process, including RFP development, partner negotiations, historical data analysis, and media performance alignment, while working cross-functionally with analytics, strategy, and planning. This includes ownership of reporting, performance monitoring, and ongoing optimizations to ensure campaigns deliver against KPIs. You’ll oversee a team, manage vendor relationships, and ensure day-to-day executional excellence within the constraints of pharma regulations. This role requires a detail-oriented leader who can think strategically, act decisively, and inspire a team to deliver best-in-class digital media programs.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Media Investment: Own the full digital media investment lifecycle—driving partner strategy, RFP development, negotiations, and documentation—across both DTC and HCP campaigns.
Leverage historical performance, competitive insights, and advanced analytics to inform strategic partner selection, rate negotiations, and strategic alignment with brand and business objectives.
Partner closely with Strategy and Planning teams to ensure channel mix and budget allocations are optimized for performance and scalability.
Campaign Management & Execution: Oversee and enforce operational excellence across all digital media campaigns - from trafficking and QA to pacing, optimizations, and performance tracking – ensuring campaigns exceed KPIs.
Develop and deliver actionable post-campaign insights, translating learnings into future investment strategies.
Proactively troubleshoot underperforming campaigns, reallocating budgets and adjusting levers to maximize ROI.
Oversee team readiness, manage vendor deliverables, and enforce compliance with pharma advertising regulations and internal approval processes.
Cultivate senior-level relationships with key digital media and technology providers—spanning both consumer and HCP channels—to anticipate trends, navigate market shifts, and drive innovation.
Serve as a primary investment advisor for clients, delivering proactive POVs and actionable recommendations grounded in data, market intelligence, and business objectives.
Lead communications from a day-to-day perspective, ensuring firm knowledge of active media plans, and ability to speak strategically to any questions posed by clients or media partners.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, coach, and inspire a high-performing investment team - establishing clear goals, fostering a culture of accountability, providing regular feedback, and promoting a learning-focused environment.
Support recruitment, onboarding, and skill-building to ensure team members are well-versed in both DTC and HCP media buying nuances and agency best practices.
Partner closely with senior team leadership to identify business opportunities, drive growth initiatives, and align team priorities with broader organizational objectives.
Thought Leadership & Innovation
Stay ahead of evolving digital, regulatory, and pharma-specific trends to proactively inform smarter, compliant media investments and agency POVs.
Drive test-and-learn agendas, pilot new platforms and data-driven solutions, and translate findings into scalable investment strategies.
Key Requirements
6–8+ years of digital media planning or buying experience, with a proven track record across both DTC and HCP pharmaceutical campaigns.
Data-driven mindset with strong analytical skills, leveraging performance insights, KPIs, and measurement frameworks to inform strategy, optimizations, and investment decisions.
Deep understanding of pharma advertising regulations, including FDA requirements, MLR processes, and HIPAA-compliant media practices.
Demonstrated success managing large-scale digital investments, vendor negotiations, and campaign execution in a regulated environment.
Fluency in programmatic, display, video, and endemic platforms, with experience using media tools like Prisma, Mediaocean, DSPs, and ad servers.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams, cross-functional stakeholders, and external partners.
Exceptional attention to detail, with strong critical-thinking, communication, and organizational skills, and the ability to work autonomously while driving strategic outcomes.
Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, client-focused setting.
