Find your future with us. Job Summary As a Mechanical Engineering Team Lead you will lead a subset of the mechanical engineering team. You will work with your team of engineers to ensure their success and with your ETL peers to drive the direction of the team, share resources and meet company goals. The role will be a balance of technical mentoring, functional management and leadership. While the first priority is supporting your team, ETLs will be expected to support direct program work for the majority of their work week. This position’s internal job code is Mech & Structural Engr Manager. Our team is currently hiring for a Level K. Responsibilities
As ETL you will be responsible for working with your team of up to ten engineers to continually develop their skills through feedback, identifying tasking to suit skillsets, and mentorship. You will motivate and communicate through regular weekly 1:1 meetings and advocate for them through weekly meetings with the mechanical ETLs in a weekly staffing meeting. You will work to mitigate technical and personnel issues and escalate as appropriate to the director or HR as needed. In addition to continual improvement you will collect and combine annual feedback from peers and make suggestions for compensation and promotion. ETLs will identify resource gaps for equipment and support hiring efforts: specifically first round interviews, offers, and 30/60/90 feedback as needed. Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must have experience as REA, project lead, or equivalent. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field with a minimum of 6 years work experience. Preferred Qualifications
Well-qualified candidate will have 2 years CAM (cost account manager) experience and have previous technical leadership experience - mentoring, determining tasking for others, etc. Summary Pay-Range
Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only of what is reasonably expected to be paid for the position. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
