Supervisor, Manufacturing (Day Shift)

BioMarin’s Technical Operations group is responsible for creating our drugs for use in clinical trials and for scaling production of those drugs for the commercial market. These individuals build and maintain BioMarin’s cutting-edge manufacturing processes and sites, provide quality assurance and quality control to ensure we meet regulatory standards, and procure the needed goods and services to support manufacturing and coordinating the worldwide movement of our drugs to patients.
Responsibilities
Lead daily operations in the assigned area with effective communication to make appropriate decisions, troubleshoot issues, and ensure schedule adherence with minimal oversight
Coordinate tasks directly and effectively to achieve targets
Provide direction and hands-on training for staff
Support staff management in collaboration with the supervisor
Model and uphold department values and set high standards for others
Foster an environment of compliance, strong work ethic, and ongoing learning
Contribute to moderate-level projects and take responsibility for their outcome
Collaborate with peer leads across manufacturing to align and improve processes
Partner with Facilities, Validation, and Quality to complete scheduled activities
Demonstrate process knowledge across relevant theory, equipment, and regulatory compliance
Troubleshoot issues and support resolutions with technical groups
Perform ongoing operational tasks in the assigned work area
Apply scientific thinking and data-driven decision making in daily work
Demonstrate technical competency with relevant processes and equipment; experience with process automation a plus
Assist with reviewing and approving documentation including Batch Records and logbooks
Support the closure of Manufacturing-owned Quality Records (deviations, change requests)
Qualifications
Required: 4-6 years Manufacturing Experience
Required: 2+ years leading a team
Familiarity with manufacturing software, Chrome skids, and TFF skids
Experience delegating work, leading a team, and following production schedules
Experience with Oracle, MES, and Microsoft Teams; strong communication skills
Education
BA/BS desired, not required
Equipment
Chromatography Skids, TFF skids, buffer tanks, Labwashers, Autoclaves

Shift Details This position is for the Back half Day shift Wed/Thurs-Sat 6am-7pm

Eligible employees may participate in benefit plans, subject to terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
Compensation The salary range for this position is $88,000 to $121,000. BioMarin considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. Actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
