Position summary We’re looking for a confident, seasoned marketing professional with a strong track record in business development strategy and pursuit marketing to join our team. This fast-paced, high-impact role requires a player/coach mentality—lead, design, and produce marketing materials while guiding a small team within a larger marketing department.

As Marketing Manager for Transwestern’s Mid-Atlantic region Tenant Advisory & Workplace Strategy team, you’ll be at the center of our pursuits for new business. You’ll develop pitch strategies, shape narratives, and bring marketing ideas to life across print, digital, and environmental platforms. You’ll own projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with client goals, brand standards, and our reputation for excellence. You’ll mentor and lead team members and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Work with Transwestern leadership, business lines, and other marketing team members to manage, design, write, and produce marketing materials: qualifications, proposals, presentations, brochures, tombstone ads, eblasts, websites, flyers, etc.

Full ownership of marketing deliverables from upfront strategy to final submission.

Help create pitch strategy and budget with BD champion, including research, tasks/milestones, and timelines.

Content creation including client communications, business development materials, and internal messaging.

Execute multiple marketing efforts against rapid and frequent deadlines.

Conduct research on new opportunities, prospective clients, and market trends.

Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and related tools.

Research targets, internal relationships, company history, market position.

Concept, write, and design new material and collateral as needed; maintain consistency with firm brand and messaging.

Ensure marketing materials are accurate and delivered on time per protocols.

Coordinate internal and external events as needed; day-to-day oversight of tenant advisory marketing team members.

Assist brokerage team in administration of sales process: database management, electronic marketing distribution, mail merges, and written proposals.

Prepare items for marketing meetings and respond to attendee questions on a project/deadline.

Willingness to be in-person, 5 days a week in our Washington, DC office.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Graphic Design, or related field.

Minimum of ten (10) years of experience, preferably in commercial real estate or business development in professional services.

Ability to lead Business Development conversations confidently and strategically.

Proven experience responding to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs.

Strong knowledge of marketing, communications, sales, and/or graphic design.

Experience partnering with senior staff on business-critical projects.

High proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat).

Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams).

Strategic thinking and ability to identify competitive advantages for marketing and communications.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work with diverse project teams on multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong graphic design sensibility and written/verbal communication skills.

Strong production skills for in-house collateral and knowledge of print requirements for out-of-house collateral.

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and timelines.

Positive, collaborative team player with upbeat attitude.
