Overview

Assistant/Associate/Full Clinical Professor, Non-Malignant Hematology at University of California, San Francisco. The Division of Hematology/Oncology is seeking additional faculty for its non-malignant (classical) hematology program. The appointed faculty member will focus on clinical, teaching, and clinical/translational research activities in non-malignant hematology and are expected to develop a clinical research program in an area of interest. Fellowship training in non-malignant (classical) hematology is required. Areas of academic interest include, but are not limited to, thrombosis and malignancy, bleeding and thrombosis in women, congenital bleeding disorders, platelet disorders, immune-mediated cytopenias, microangiopathies, and systems hematology. Interdisciplinary research leveraging UCSF resources is encouraged. Applicants who have been successful in obtaining peer-reviewed funding are particularly encouraged to apply. Candidates must be ABIM eligible or certified in Hematology. Responsibilities

Participate in the teaching and training of Hematology and Oncology fellows, residents, and medical students; contribute to the division's annual retreat. Clinical activities include attending on the hematology consultation service and in the outpatient non-malignant (classical) hematology clinic. Clinical opportunities are available in the federally funded Hemophilia Treatment Center. Develop and lead a clinical research program in an area of interest. Qualifications

Fellowship training in non-malignant (classical) hematology; ABIM eligible or certified in Hematology. Record of pursuing or obtaining peer-reviewed funding is encouraged. Strong teaching and research interests aligned with UCSF goals. Application process

The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay at appointment. The minimum base salary range for this position is $127,000-$333,700. This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan with eligibility for additional compensation. Document Requirements
