Traveling Project Director- Aviation at JE Dunn Construction. The role reports into the National Aviation team and is expected to travel throughout the United States. Role Summary

The Project Director provides overall direction and leadership for the assigned work program across all phases of the project lifecycle. This position ensures operational excellence, financial management, team leadership, stakeholder relationship management, risk management, and alignment with JE Dunn’s strategy, vision and values. Responsibilities

Provide direction and leadership for the assigned project or work program across all phases of the project lifecycle. Develops and executes full business and strategic planning for the work program in support of company strategy and KSIs. Lead safety culture and promote an injury-free environment through actions and mentoring; investigate incidents and implement corrective actions. Assist senior management with strategy development; support company-wide initiatives, best practices and policies within the work program. Provide strategic direction to team members in light of broader work program plans across the project lifecycle. Serve as primary client relationship executive at a leadership level; build and maintain long-term relationships with target clients and guide project teams accordingly. Escalate and manage project, financial, contractual, risk and client relationship issues; negotiate change orders and expenditures; conduct risk assessments and implement solutions. Develop and execute subcontractor strategy; lead preconstruction discussions and collaborate on contractual obligations, estimates, schedules and staffing plans. Oversee project and schedule reviews; ensure contractual obligations are met and team accountability is maintained. Manage resources and staffing to meet contractual commitments; adapt as needed for successful outcomes. Engage with the community and industry; represent the organization and promote its interests. Accurate and timely work delivery Advanced verbal and written communication; effective presentations MS Office proficiency (Intermediate) Thorough knowledge of project processes and their impact on project success Advanced proficiency in project management and accounting software (e.g., CMiC) Advanced proficiency in required construction technology Ability to apply Lean processes and philosophy Budgeting, profitability management and pipeline development Ability to perform estimating and productivity analysis Proven track record of successful project delivery Knowledge of MBE/WBE/SBA regulations and corporate risk management policies Ability to build collaborative relationships internally and externally Education

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field Equivalent relevant experience considered in lieu of degree Experience

15+ years construction management experience (Preferred) 5+ years people management experience (Required) Experience leading multiple large or complex projects or teams (Required) Experience managing large 50M+ Aviation projects (Required) Working Environment

Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds May require periods of overnight travel Non-traditional hours to meet project needs Normal office environment with exposure to extreme conditions (hot or cold) Frequent: Standing, Walking, Sitting, Computer use; Occasional: Bending, Climbing, Reaching, Pushing, Pulling Benefits
