About This Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to scale a critically important function responsible for building and maintaining systems, processes and services that enable us to understand financial performance and unlock key business insights at Faire. The ideal candidate will ensure key accounting procedures are automated in ways that are accurate, efficient, easy-to-understand, and scalable. This role sits in the Finance department and collaborates with Accounting, Finance & Strategy, Engineering and Data Infrastructure. You will help Faire employees use data effectively to report numbers externally and to make impactful internal decisions. As an early member of a growing team, you will help shape the roadmap for improving access to business-critical data and automation that amplifies impact across functions. What You’ll Do Scope, design, create, and manage complex ETL flows that aggregate and synthesize key business performance metrics and financial reporting, ensuring efficient, accurate, and scalable data models using best practices Act as a trusted analytical partner to the Accounting and Finance teams, gathering requirements from product and operational groups, and enabling data-driven decision-making by ensuring core ledgers reflect business changes Collaborate with Engineering, Data Infrastructure, and other stakeholders to deliver data solutions that align with business objectives and improve efficiency Lead initiatives to drive data strategy, roadmap planning, and prioritization in line with business goals Act as a thought leader to expand the team’s influence within the Finance team and across the organization Unlock workflow automation using the latest capabilities enabled by Generative AI Qualifications Must have : 5+ years of work experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, Data Analytics, or a comparable function Expertise in SQL with focus on data modeling, large-scale data processing, and analytics or financial use cases Experience with data warehousing concepts, ETLs, big data technologies, and analytics platforms Experience with analytics workflow tools (e.g., Airflow, Docker, dbt), data warehousing/storage (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, S3), and data visualization tools (e.g., Mode, Tableau, Looker) Nice To Have : Experience with Python, R or other programming languages BA/BS in computer science, math or another quantitative field Familiarity with Git and command-line tools for workflow automation and data manipulation Salary Range California & New York: the pay range for this role is $170,000 - $234,000 per year. This role is eligible for equity and benefits. Base pay is determined by factors such as transferable skills, experience, market demand, and location. The base pay range may change in the future. Effective January 2025, Faire employees are expected to go into the office 2 days per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays). Hybrid roles may have up to 4 weeks per year remote.
