Silicon Validation Engineer
to join the Graphics Post-silicon team. The role focuses on power analysis and voltage margin optimization for the GPU core, and involves characterization and tuning of system-level power management solutions, collaborating with architecture, design, software and production engineering teams to commercialize high-performance, power-efficient GPUs in next-generation mobile and computing devices. Responsibilities
Focus on power analysis and voltage margin optimization for the GPU core during silicon validation. Characterize and tune system-level power management solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (architecture, design, software, production engineering) to bring GPUs to market. System validation on emulation platforms and on silicon bring-up and debug. Qualifications
Excellent C/C++ programming skills; scripting in Python and Perl. Knowledge of power consumption concepts in digital circuits. Knowledge of ARM CPU architecture and AHB/AXI bus protocols; GPU architecture. Familiarity with VLSI design and test methodologies; experience with lab equipment (logic analyzers, oscilloscopes) and Lauterbach Trace32. Familiarity with ARM CoreSight IP; DFT/DFD; RMA process. Strong written and oral communication, multitasking, and ability to work with minimal supervision. Education and Experience
Bachelors: Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or related field; 2+ years of Software/Hardware/Systems engineering, or related work experience. Preferred: Doctorate or Masters in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Work experience: 0-3 years for entry-level criteria; 3+ years in GPU System/Silicon Validation, Hardware Engineering or related work experience. Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range: $133,600.00 - $200,400.00. Qualcomm notes that salary is one component of total compensation and offers a competitive benefits package, annual discretionary bonus program, and opportunity for RSU grants where applicable.
