West Monroe . West Monroe has an immediate opportunity for a Director to help our growing Consumer and Industrial Products practice within our Value Identification & Delivery capability. The role will focus on accelerating the identification and capture of strategic value creation across commercial and operational opportunities through the implementation of digital solutions – AI, Machine Learning, Intelligent Automation, Business Intelligence & Advanced Analytics, Business Operations, Organization, Systems & Infrastructure. The Director will have three main responsibilities: Responsibilities
Client Development : Develop new business, drive business development initiatives and manage the client relationship at executive levels while providing direction and oversight to project teams. Candidates should be passionate about what they do and enjoy a fun, entrepreneurial environment. Practice Development : Play an active C&IP leadership role and support the leadership of the Chicago / Minneapolis based team. Manage and mentor teams of consultants and technologists supporting our Consumer and Industrial Product client engagements that reimagine, build, and transform their business and operations. Client Delivery : Set the strategic direction on data-driven client engagements, manage relationships with C-suite executives and deliver high-quality, compelling offerings that create significant shareholder value. Leverage leading-edge business intelligence software to create innovative client solutions. Qualifications
An MBA degree preferred, or equivalent experience required 6+ years’ experience leading the delivery of data-driven consulting engagements from strategy to execution, including understanding financial statements, business cycles and financial modeling 8+ years’ experience managing multi-disciplinary teams of consultants OR 10+ years in an operational / commercial leadership role in a C&IP related industry Ability to identify and evaluate value opportunities and develop strategic plans that integrate data & analytics, overall strategic objectives and existing business constraints Ability to lead multiple projects and initiatives at a given time Develop and leverage business frameworks to synthesize recommendations, set strategic direction and drive alignment with clients Ability to coach junior resources on engagement delivery, data insight generation, hypothesis driven approach and presentation best practices Proven experience leading day-to-day project activities across multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely execution of project deliverables and outcomes Strong business development acumen with experience driving proposal process from lead to close Strong communication skills to work with clients at all levels of the organization – from the analyst to the board room Knowledge of advanced analytics and AI / ML applications for Consumer & Industrial Products companies Experience working with Private Equity clients to navigate the deal lifecycle and achieve investment objectives is a plus Ability to travel 50-70% A commitment to inclusion and diversity, and openness to new ideas and perspectives Proven success achieving in-market revenue expectations Industry Knowledge
Functional knowledge of consumer and industrial products & services value chain – sectors include Industrial Products and Equipment, Consumer Packaged Goods, Durable Goods, Food & Beverage, Automotive / Transportation, Specialty Retail, Essential Services, Chemicals Experience with mid-market manufacturing businesses ($500M - $5B in Revenue) Ability to identify and quantify business cases impacting the P&L and/or balance sheet for manufacturing or supply chain use cases Track record of client project delivery success including AI/ML, Intelligent Automation, Enterprise System Implementation / Integration (CRM, ERP, SCM, MES, Modern Data & Analytics Platform), Process Improvement, Organizational Effectiveness, Sales Effectiveness, Supply Chain Optimization, and Capital Project Management Functional knowledge of AI, analytics, and data platform tools: Alteryx, Tableau, SQL, Databricks, Snowflake, PowerBI, Python Compensation & Benefits
Based on pay transparency guidelines, a reasonable expectation for the salary range is listed below. The total rewards package includes bonus structure and benefits. Salaries are determined by geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity. Some offices may have a geographic premium. National
$200,000—$250,000 USD Employees are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Eligible for 401k, employee stock ownership program, annual bonuses, unlimited flexible time off, ten paid holidays, and up to ten weeks of paid parental leave upon hire date.
