Warehouse Manager (Heavy Equipment Parts)
XCMG is seeking an experienced Warehouse (Parts) Manager to lead our Houston, Texas facility's parts operations. This strategic role will oversee all aspects of parts operations for our construction and heavy equipment product lines, with a focus on optimizing processes through advanced ERP systems and warehouse management.
Responsibilities
Manage comprehensive parts operations including inventory control, purchasing, and distribution of OEM parts
Lead and develop a team of parts professionals through effective training and performance management
Oversee warehouse operations and logistics, ensuring efficient material flow and storage optimization
Implement and maintain SAP/ERP systems for inventory management and business process optimization
Develop and execute strategies to improve inventory turns, fill rates, and overall department profitability
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, dealers, and key customers
Collaborate with service department to ensure optimal parts availability
Monitor and analyze KPIs including fill rates, inventory turns, and customer satisfaction metrics
Create and maintain standard operating procedures for warehouse operations
Manage department budget and cost control initiatives
Required Qualifications
5+ years' experience in heavy equipment or construction machinery parts management
3+ years of direct warehouse management experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field
Demonstrated a high level of proficiency with SAP and ERP systems
Strong technical aptitude
Proven experience in implementing and optimizing warehouse management systems
Strong track record of inventory optimization and cost reduction initiatives
Advanced knowledge of parts forecasting and inventory control methodologies
Experience with cycle counting and physical inventory processes
Proven leadership abilities with experience managing large teams
Strong critical thinking skills
Technical Skills
SAP proficiency, particularly in materials management (MM) module
Advanced ERP system experience, including system implementation and optimization
Warehouse Management System (WMS) expertise
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis
Experience with barcode scanning and inventory tracking systems
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Chinese OEM products and supply chains
Knowledge of construction equipment industry and common parts applications
Bilingual capabilities in English/Mandarin
APICS or similar supply chain certification
Experience with lean warehouse management principles
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in a warehouse environment
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
Valid driver's license and ability to operate material handling equipment
