Provide advice to clients, in a variety of industries, on import and export matters Identify additional areas of opportunities such as international tax, state and local tax, and transfer pricing that could provide value to clients\' operations Research U.S. and international import and export trade matters and write, review, and deliver international trade advice Formulate ideas and deliver possible trade savings opportunities Act as a coach, mentor, trainer, or performance manager to other professionals Manage, direct, monitor, and deliver multiple client engagements on time and within budget; maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations and ensure client satisfaction Qualifications

Minimum eight years of recent import/export experience in the field of trade and customs as a customs attorney, customs broker, U.S. Customs auditor, or import specialist, including experience in the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, customs regulations, NAFTA, entry processes, valuation, and informed compliance methods Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited college/university; JD and/or LLM preferred One of the following valid credentials is required: CBL, CUSICO, CUSECO, CCS, CPA, MBA, EA, or JD/LLM (per KPMG\'s approved credential list); if not possessed at hire, one must obtain at least one approved designation within one year Previous experience in a consulting firm, trade law firm, or government Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication/presentation skills Ability to travel domestically and internationally KPMG complies with local/state regulations regarding salary ranges. Salaries are determined based on factors such as skills, experience, degrees, credentials, and market considerations.
